It is GFX international's belief that a functional sustainability policy must be dynamic in nature and umbrella three key business components for operational excellence. These three components will provide structure and stability while maintaining a sustainable business.
The three components are:
- Safety – Provide and insure a safe and healthy work environment for our staff, our visitors, and our community.
- Environmental – Insure all activities are conducted in an environmentally responsible manner to protect all aspects of the scarce resources of the environment; Land, Air, and Water. Continuously focus on improvement opportunities to measure and reduce environmental impact at all supply chain levels; vendor, internal operations, customer, and logistics.
- Staffing Stability – Strive to provide a superior employment experience for all GFX team members through training, empowerment, recognition, communication, and employment stability.
As part of this Policy, GFX International will:
- Exceed or meet all applicable local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and requirements related to employee safety, the environment, and employee rights.
- Establish, maintain, and support a Sustainable Management Team and System. The team and system will be work using a Plan-Do-Check-Act improvement cycle. This process will utilize metrics, monitoring, and reports, to drive improvements.
- Conduct business with a management philosophy based on respect.
- Continuously explore:

- Alternative manufacturing materials and methods to lower our environmental impact at all operating levels – product, process, and envelope.

- Ways to maximize our recycling, re-use, and reduction efforts, both as a business and as individuals in the organization.

- Consumable alternatives derived from renewable resources.
- Effectively and routinely communicate with staff, customers, vendors, regulators and surrounding communities regarding Sustainable Management System performance and metrics.
- Periodically review and demonstrate continuous improvement and innovation in the operations of the business related to environmental performance, workplace safety and employee satisfaction.
