At GFX, we believe a functional sustainability policy must be dynamic in nature and consist of three key business components for operational excellence. These three components provide structure and stability while maintaining a sustainable business:

• Safety – Provide and insure a safe and healthy work environment for our staff, our visitors and our community.
• Environmental – Insure all activities are conducted in an environmentally responsible manner to protect all aspects of the scarce resources of the environment: land, air and water. Continuously focus on improvement opportunities to measure and reduce environmental impact at all supply chain levels: vendor, internal operations, customer, and logistics.
• Staffing Stability – Strive to provide a superior employment experience for all GFX team members through training, empowerment, recognition, communication, and employment stability.

Bloom

Sustainability is our focus. Our staff or “Bloom” team reviews all aspects of sustainability and determines what materials or processes surrounding sustainable – or green – initiatives are adopted.

Facility

GFX is certified by SGP – the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership. This means that we have voluntarily undergone a third-party inspection of our sustainability practices and are committed to incorporating “green” business practices within our four walls. As an SGP-certified facility, we join the ranks of other environmentally responsible facilities that adhere to sustainability best practices. LEED Certified Staff

At GFX, LEED-certified* design staff are an important part of our commitment to sustainability. These specialists are experts at designing sustainability into every project, whenever possible.

* LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Standards) is an internationally recognized “green” building certification system which provides third-party verification that a facility was designed and built using strategies that save energy, use water efficiently, reducing CO2 emissions, and striving for improved indoor environmental quality.

Supply Chain

We are focused on “greening” our supply chain. We’re constantly on the lookout for options that meet our criteria for a sustainable media or best practice, and we offer our expertise and thought leadership concerning sustainability to you – our partners.
